On Jun. 8, 2018, organized by CRIMT and Xi'an International Land-Port Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd. and operated by HYTRANS, the Chang'an Central Asia return line departed from Tashkent.

This line carried 1500t mung beans imported by Yiwanjia Agricultural and Sideline Products Co., Ltd. From Uzbekistan. After entering China from Alashankou, this line arrived in Xi'an International Trade & Logistics Park on Jun. 21 (the summer solstice), with a whole course of 14 days. On the same day, the second return line with mung beans departed Tashkent and will be arrived in Xi'an International Trade & Logistics Park in the end of the month.

Containers used by this line are containers of the first point-to-point Chang'an "Xi'an - Tashkent" line. The use of containers in round trips sufficiently embodies the advantages of two-way transport of "Xi'an - Tashkent - Xi'an" and has further enriched and improved the product series and service scope of Chang'an Line.

Uzbekistan is located in a climatic zone blessed with sufficient sunshine, sunlight of more than 300 days and a high organic content in soil, which is beneficial to extensive development of the agricultural economy. This country's mung beans are healthy and safe green products without fertilizer or pesticide.

Along with stability of supply of goods, China-Europe line (Xi'an- Tashkent- Xi'an) will realize the frequency of two going lines and one return line. On the basis of enhancing trade and logistics contact with Uzbekistan, it also enriches the grain consumption market of Shaanxi province and even the whole country.

Except for mung beans, 41 vehicles of wheat imported from Kazakhstan arrived in Xi'an Port. This is the first return line of grains imported from Northern Kazakhstan in this year. In the second half year, it plans to import 100,000t wheat with the China-Europe Line (Chang'an) to China. Kazakhstan has rich agricultural resources. Export of agricultural products plays an important role in economic development. Transport of imported grains with containers to the inland port can improve the transport efficiency of wheat imported from Kazakhstan as well as reduce the package and reloading cost.

The arrival of the grain return line enriches operation of Xi'an Port as an imported wheat port as well as opens a new window for grain enterprises of Shaanxi, Northwestern China and even the whole country in exploration of new channels for transport of grains.
